I always have so much fun coming up with Decorating Ideas for a Galentine’s Day Brunch. There’s nothing I love more than getting the girls together, especially when it involves my favorite holiday!
To say I’m a lover of Valentine’s Day would be an understatement! What’s not to love? With the gorgeous pops of red and pink making an appearance all around….little heart accessories, signs, cards, candy, etc. I just have to plan an event to utilize all these fun items!
I rarely start out with a vision of how I’ll decorate the table… it’s always about the shopping; that’s where the vision is born. Whether it’s The Target Dollar Spot, Dollar General or the local grocery store, the inspiration comes when I start to see all the fun things that come out for the Valentine’s season. It might be one or two items or something as simple as a flower bouquet that sets the wheels in motion.
This year it happened to be these utensil holders I found at Home Goods, one of my favorite places to shop for Valentine’s day. TJMaxx, Marshalls or stores of the same nature, they always seem to load up on so many FUN holiday items for entertaining.
Along with the Utensil Holders, these red plaid chargers sure jumped in my cart fast. Hobby Lobby is another go-to spot for finding the cutest seasonal items. I picked up some place cards, heart tags for the favors and a few red stems to drape on the chandelier over the table.
Target always has their share of Valentine’s items as well. I got the table runner there and the heart garland was in their Dollar Spot last year.
The centerpiece for the table was a fun find… a local shop near me carries these cute heart topiaries. I displayed them on a tray by placing them on top of different candlesticks so the heights varied.
It’s not a party without flowers right?! A few carnations from Trader Joes and they made quite the pop!
These cute little favor bags were from Krumpets Home Décor…So cute! They have a little drawstring to close them up after filling (with chocolate of course!)
I sure enjoyed creating a colorful table, but what really made the planning fun was involving my Granddaughter, Molly. I knew she’d have some fun Decorating Ideas for a Galentine’s Day Brunch. She loves colorful things and is always drawing hearts on everything 🙂 And you know she is always ready to help with cupcakes. She also personalized each Valentine place card…so cute!
After the table was set, it was time to start on the menu. I planned out very simple items.
-Breakfast egg muffins (so many yummy options on Pinterest!)
-Yogurt parfait
-Fruit kabobs
-Mimosas
-Charcuterie board
-Cupcakes (Pink, of course!)
Pretty sure the cupcakes stole the show, they were like a centerpiece all of their own!
The morning of the brunch I put together the Parfaits with just fruit, yogurt and granola. Again, how you display them can make the ordinary seem pretty darn cute! I used a cake stand but added a charger to the top to stick with the red theme.
A Charcuterie board, no matter the size, sure can dress up a table and make even the simplest of treats look stunning!
The Mimosas were made by mixing a pink champagne with a Strawberry apple juice, which kept them a pretty pink color.
As the breakfast muffins were baking I had a chance to refresh the front porch pots into something more fitting for the party. I added some red hearts to make the Christmas red more fitting for the occasion.
The entryway was also ready to greet my sweet friends…all decked out in sweet Valentine’s Decor.
Once everything was ready, the girls arrived and the fun began!
Even my littlest guest enjoyed the party and treats…my sweet grandbaby!
I hope you get a chance to use these Decorating Ideas for a Galentine’s Day Brunch – Any excuse to gather with friends, right!?
