When I was asked to join a group of blogging friends for a weekend in Waco, I jumped at the chance! Most of them had been my IG buddies for quite awhile and it was SOOOO FUN to finally meet them all in person. What a perfect meeting spot Waco was when coming from all over the states. There’s so much to see and do, you could easily visit for longer than a weekend. So, where to begin…  

THURSDAY

Several of us flew into Dallas and several into Austin, either city will get ya about an hour and a half from Waco. I had been to Waco last Fall for the first time and stayed with a friend at a local hotel, ..but this time we all stayed at the Green Door Lofts ..AMAZING! It’s a whole different experience staying at a B&B.  

Doesn’t this door alone just make you want to stay here!? There were plenty of lofts for us all to stay and it made it so enjoyable to have areas just to hang out together. Just inside this door..the pool and patio area were one of the favs to do just that..and it is landscaped just beautifully!  

Just opposite of this patio is the stairway leading to the lofts upstairs where I stayed along with a few of the other gals, our room was called the Boho. It was decorated so bright and colorful, it even had a disco ball that hung from the ceiling. Also such a great place just to hang out… you really are torn between hanging out here and heading out for the day!  

There was a cute little balcony off the dining area to enjoy our morning coffee .. so important ya know..? And.. fresh pecan rolls to go with it!  

The lower level is where several others stayed.. just as amazing and gorgeous, and where we all hung out quite a bit as well. The night we arrived we were greeted by fresh flower bouquets from DOLLAR HYDRANGEAS .. pizza from 900 DEGREE PIZZAS and fresh pies from the PIE PEDDLERS ! We walked a couple doors down Austin Ave. to visit Theresa at Linen & Cake , Waco’s newest home decor store. We also hit up Spice Village , you could spend an entire weekend just at this place.. so many fun shops rolled into one! We also hit up Spice Village , you could spend an entire weekend just at this place.. so many fun shops rolled into one!   Breaking for dinner we walked right across the street from the lofts to Klassy Glass Wine Bar to enjoy a casual dinner together. Such a charming spot to dine.  

FRIDAY

We started our day with breakfast at Harvest on 25th. They have an incredible menu with so many healthy options.    

    Of course our next stop of the day…the obvious choice!  

It was perfect weather on Friday so we decided to visit Magnolia ..after all there’s just as much to do and see outside as there is inside.

There’s the beautiful gardens, the grassy area surrounded by food trucks, the greenhouse, the Seed and Supply store, so many FUN photo ops around the Silos and of course the Bakery.. Duh! Can’t leave Magnolia without a cupcake! Then, be prepared …as you walk inside the MAGNOLIA MARKET you will be blown away by all the amazing and creative store displays! All themed to go along with the latest feature of their magazine, The Magnolia Journal. I just loved all the different ideas everywhere you looked. I just loved all the different ideas everywhere you looked.   After taking in all the beauty inside and out, walking the gardens, eating a cupcake and relaxing in the grass we decided to head up the road to THE FINDERY .  

The Findery consists of two separate buildings (super cool, old buildings) with multiple vendors selling custom items. Both stores are filled with so many great items, old and new alike, we were sure to find some FUN treasures! After a full day of shopping, we headed back to the Green Door Lofts to ready ourselves for a girl’s night out! We all got fancied up and waited for our sweet ride to pick us up!  

  SAY WHAT?! We were chauffeured by Legacy Limousine service for the entire night! Before dinner we stopped by Courtney’s Boutique, where we were so spoiled with wine, fruit, cheese and crackers. We had a ball trying on some of the cutest clothes! Of course no one left empty handed. 😉 SAY WHAT?! We were chauffeured by Legacy Limousine service for the entire night! After shopping we were ready for some “fine dining”. We hopped back in the limo and headed to one of the best steak restaurants in Waco, 135 Prime . It was amazing! I’m afraid I did not order a steak.. I can hear you all gasping, but rather a pasta dish that was out of this world! Their menu is phenomenal, all fresh and farm to table, love that! And my favorite part is always the dessert!  

No matter how full I was… THIS CHEESECAKE definitely needed to happen!   It was such a FUN night, we joked that it felt like prom..seriously, why don’t we have more special occasions like this as adults!?

Definitely a night to remember! Such a full first day.. how can we ever top this?    

SATURDAY

We started our Saturday morning at MAGNOLIA TABLE for breakfast. It was raining but we had our umbrellas that the GREEN DOOR LOFTS provided…so at least we looked cute waiting outside! When seated we ordered the Lemon Lavender donut holes to start…excellent choice I might add! As a blogger you’re always thinking photo opportunity..but here, everyone is taking pics of everything.  

  Several of us ordered the French toast with strawberry butter…to die for!! You seriously don’t even need syrup! Oh yeah…I forgot to mention (not really) that we met Joanna’s Mom!! Crazy!! She was just the sweetest.<3  

  After breakfast the rain quit and we were able to hit a few more cute shops around town. I do wish it had been a warmer day on Saturday..to show off my cute t-shirt from DRESS BARN . They were kind enough to sponsor our trip and dress us for the weekend. It was so FUN to see what everyone had picked out. For dinner that night I was also able to rock some cute capri pants that were a gingham check with pompoms at the ankle..too cute!   Speaking of dinner… our last night in Waco was fabulous! We went to Brazos Bar and Bistro at HOTEL INDIGO. The manager Cassie was just so accommodating, we got to meet the chef and hear about all the amazing dishes he makes as well as sample all the desserts from the menu. The drink I started with was like a dessert in itself…Lemon Lavender Martini!  

With an edible flower..which was tried but not consumed. 😉 All in all the last night in Waco was just as great as the rest.  

The absolute best part was meeting all these sweet gals.. They will forever be my IG buddies!
