Welcome to my Spring Home! If you’re here visiting from the other gals on the Home Tour Loop.. I’m so glad you’re here! Spring is one of my favorite times of the year to refresh my home décor. In Michigan the grey days of winter tend to linger well into the Spring, so transforming my home into something brighter and cheery is so important. It definitely helps elevate my mood as well. Why not put a smile on your face by adding some fresh elements to your home. I want to share 5 simple ways to brighten up your home for Spring.
- Plants and Florals
- Pillows and Throws
- Artwork
- Textiles and Patterns

I am such a garden lover, so while I can’t be digging outside just yet, I love to add some fresh and faux florals inside and out. Starting with the front door this year, I added a big basket of floral stems and WOW what a cheerful welcome that gives to the front porch!
My porch pots also received some Spring florals. I stayed with more natural looking stems, ones that look like they are just starting to bud out as well as some pussy willows and white birch branches. Such a fun look while waiting for planting season.
I also love to add colorful pillows, rugs and other accent pieces to bring in the seasonal colors I’m going with.
Just inside the front door is another example of faux florals, a larger house plant that makes a statement and a pillow that incorporates color and texture to represent Spring.
My Foyer connects to my Mudroom area where I also enjoy sprucing things up for Spring. Wreaths are another great way to add color, flowers and greens, and perfect for ladder decor. You can never go wrong with a fun Spring sign either, it gives just the right amount of seasonal color to the mudroom.
A few Spring items added to my bench area helps brighten up this space as well. The colors in the pillows and the throw add such a cheery look.
My kitchen will always sport a good spring vibe. My bright green doors are just begging for Spring florals and plants, don’t you think? I also hung some woven shades in place of my valances to give a lighter feel to the room and let in more light.
I love adding in different textures, not only with the woven shades but also with towels and placemats. The tassels on the island placemat…SO FUN! Don’t you just want tassels on everything right now?!
Something as simple as this checked ribbon that I used to hang the wreaths, make such a fun look for Spring, a very inexpensive way to add color. The brightly painted Lanterns just seem to pop in here as well. I also make a point to purchase real flowers at least once a week, another great way to make my gardening heart happy…can’t get enough of them!
The Living room is a space that received all 5 simple ways to brighten up your home for Spring. The Paperwhites on the coffee table, the brightly colored pillows..
the botanical prints above the fireplace and the pops of color through fun accent pieces. Aren’t the colors of Spring just the best?!
The dining room table is always a perfect spot to incorporate seasonal items. From the texture of the table runner to the greens and florals, this sunny spot sure shows off these beauties.
Of course my plant stand is a favorite of mine…always showing off a plant or two!
When a pillow doubles as a flower bouquet you can’t help but go home with it, am I right?! Two for one on the Spring décor list.
Every Spring I plant up a Spring basket. Mainly because I can’t wait to get my hands in the dirt! It sure does make me smile. I switch out the plants as they fade and replace them every few weeks with something different that’s about to bloom. It sure is a fun look no matter where it lands and adds to the Spring feel in the house.
Our bedroom is also an area that’s easy to switch over for the Spring season. I change the bedding and the curtains to something lighter and brighter, add in some Spring artwork and a few bright florals and it’s as if Spring has sprung inside.
Last but not least the master bath gets refreshed with 5 simple ways to brighten up your home for Spring. Plants, florals, artwork, also fun rugs and towels that give color, pattern and texture. Simple details that make a big impact…that’s what will keep me smiling until I can get outside in the garden! Happy Spring sweet Peeps!
